The Sho Interview: "I feel a special honor to serve women... to be used as a tool for women to dispose of their sexual desires..."
"I like to lick a woman before she takes a shower. I get a kick out of the woman's attitude that says, 'Why bother taking a shower for a slave?'"
When I stopped by Tokyo last year, I visited the used book street in Jimbocho district and purchased one of my most treasured souvenirs, a copy of a 2017 edition of the transcendentally sexy magazine 女神の愛 (Love of Goddesses). Within the pages of that magazine, I discovered an article by a man named Sho describing his experience worshipping and licking the body of a beautiful woman whom he met via his blog. At the end of the article, Sho’s bio asked for any “women who want to train me or use me” to contact him.
What a life!, I thought. A submissive man who meets all kinds of women online, submits to their wills, and then writes about it. I had questions. How did he get started? Is he still doing it? What has he learned from being dominated by many women?
Sho titled his website “M-Man x Licking Dog x Cunnilingus,” and while the blog is no longer operating, a couple of pages with sexy photos are available in the Wayback Machine. His email address is still working, and he was gracious enough to answer some questions.
How long did you run your blog? How did it work?
I ran my blog from 2010 until about 2019. My articles in the Love of Goddesses magazines came about when a publisher read my blog and took an interest in me and asked me to write a series of articles.
I don't remember the exact number of women I met through my blog, but I think it was probably close to 100. I am a masochist myself, but not all of the women I met were sadists or dominants. Some were masochists and women of vanilla sexuality. The reason for this is that most of these women contact me because they want to request cunnilingus from me.
In a normal month, how many women would contact you?
At most, I received invitations from about 10 women a month, but since I chose women who seemed safe and trustworthy after exchanging many emails with them, only two or three women a month actually agreed to meet me. Some women ended up having one-time relationships, while others continued to see me for years.
It says you have been featured in magazines about half a dozen times, including the edition of Goddess Love that I found. Would you consider yourself an exhibitionist?
I don't consider myself an exposure freak. I am actually quite shy and timid. In I don't like to reveal myself. So I have been very careful to maintain my privacy.
Also, I have not openly told any of my close friends that I am a masochist. I am very ashamed to let my sexuality be known because I feel that I would be scorned. So I started this blog to freely express my true inner self.
I chose the photos I posted on my blog very carefully so that the women I met and my privacy were not violated. I also made sure that the text I posted on my blog never revealed who we were to others, so I was not too worried about being seen.
You wrote in your bio that the one thing you wish to contribute to society is to help "women's stress relief as a service tool or a slave." Do you consider yourself a female supremacist? Do you feel a special honor serving women?
I do not consider myself a feminist. I believe that men and women are equal in everyday life and that society should be fair regardless of gender. However, my sexuality is masochistic, so I want to serve women at night, and I feel a special honor to serve women.
I guess that the word "feminist" carries some negative interpretation in Asian politics--and also in Western countries now--where it is being interpreted by some as meaning the women must be given more power than the men. However, in the original meaning, it was meant to be about eliminating discrimination against women in order to achieve equality. I admit that I also throw around the term "female supremacy" casually without defining it in my question.
I apologize for the misunderstanding, because when I typed in female supremacist in Japanese on a translation site, it was converted to “feminist.” I also apologize for my lack of words.
What I wanted to convey was that I do not worship the female being itself like a god. When I engage in SM play, I do not want to submit to just any woman. I only play with the right woman when it is mutually agreed upon.
My idea is different than the idea of the Yapoo. There was a book written by Numa Shozo in 1956 called Yapoo, the Human Cattle about a future society in which all men are slaves to all women. It became the inspiration for the Yapoo’s Marketplace porn studio. Perhaps this is the “female supremacy” you were trying to convey.
Editor’s Note
Nellie Feathers has translated 17 chapters of Yapoo, the Human Cattle into English.
The Japanese edition is available in print on Amazon, and the cover art by Kuniyoshi Kaneko is artistic.
‘Yapoo’ has provided inspiration for many artists, including Yukimasa Okumura.
The concept of that book appealed to me as a fantasy. But the situations written in the later chapters were much to extreme for me. I speak, too, of a kind of veneration I feel in the submission to women. Like it is my place and that I am honored to be there.
I understand your impression that the situation described in the latter chapters is extreme. While that book is an SM novel, it is also a science fiction novel. Also, this is my guess, but considering the historical background of the time when the book was published, I think it also had a satirical aspect to the Japanese who were under the occupation of the GHQ (General Headquarters of the Allied Powers) as the defeated nation in World War II.
You have said that many women came to you for cunnilingus even if they were not sadists. Do many Japanese women find it difficult to find a partner willing to give cunnilingus?
In Japan, there is a culture that it is shameful for women to be aggressive during night activities. Many women often hide their sexuality from their partners, and many women do not speak up even when they want to have cunnilingus.
Did you find many women who, as you say, are not ordinarily sadistic, who like to try new things and go a little crazy when they are provided with access to the masochistic man at their service?
There were women who wanted to tease men out of curiosity, but this was not their instinctive desire, just curiosity, so they did not transform from being masochists or vanilla into real mistresses.
How much do you enjoy the taste and experience of licking pussy, and do you find different flavors with different women?
In the nightlife, which is generally considered to be male-dominated, when a you as a man are used as a tool for women to dispose of their sexual desires, it makes you realize that you are nothing more than a tool for them. It is very exciting and extraordinary.
Of course, the taste and smell are completely different depending on the woman. Personally, I like to lick a woman before she takes a shower. The smell and taste are natural and fragrant, and I also get a kick out of the woman's attitude that says, “Why bother taking a shower for a slave?” I get off on being made to lick and tongue clean a dirty body before the shower.
I also like being made to lick her feet and asshole, and I like being made to smell the stockings and panties I've been wearing all day, smell her like a dog.
Do you think that a man giving cunnilingus to a woman is by itself a submissive act?
I feel that cunnilingus is a submissive act if the initiative and decision-making power is with the woman. For example, when the man is made to do cunnilingus until the woman is satisfied, even if he is tired or asks to be excused, or cunnilingus where he has to obey the woman about the licking.
If the man decides the beginning and the end of the act, or if he does it expecting to get something out of it, I don't think it is the submissive way.
Did you meet many women who wanted to use you for penetrative sex?
Some women asked for penetrative sex. Some women were so aroused by the cunnilingus that they asked for sex (often masochistic or vanilla women), and some women considered the penetrative sex itself a kind of D/s play, saying, “Let me use your penis for my pleasure.”
Japan is known for its JAV industry. It is known for producing some particularly kinky pornography. When it comes to femdom, it is home to celebrated studios such as Mistressland and Yapoo's Marketplace. Why, do you think, Japan is a strong producer of AVs? Or is this idea a misconception?
This is just my guess, but in Japan, it is considered embarrassing to talk about sex and one's inner life with family, lovers, friends, etc., compared to Western countries. There is also a tendency for people to consider it taboo to tell others about their perverted sexual habits.
While modesty is valued in public, various fantasies are tolerated in private, and pornographic videos and other forms of entertainment were actively produced to fill the gap.
I believe that the reason for the development of manga and anime as well as the pornography industry is similar.
